“A lot of people have paralysis by overanalysis” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) Making good money and life decisions is going to be one of the most important skills you will develop. This episode, and this interview with Barry Schwartz, will reveal some of the best ways to make the right decisions, no matter what the decision is about. Because there are so many options in the world, many people are simply paralyzed and unable to make a decision, because they are under the misunderstanding to an incredibly high level of their happiness is dependant on that decision. Look for good enough, rather than the best, and understand where your happiness really comes from. The ability to understand yourself, sit down and really come to a deep understanding what is the most important to you, will allow you to be able to take the path that will make you the most happy. “Look for good enough, instead of the best” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) Points to Keep In Mind

“Have a varied strategy to life” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) Live your life with the constant idea in the back of your mind of what you want written on your tombstone when you die. We all die sometime, some sooner than others, and you simply cannot predict what will happen to you, and how much time you have left. This is why, regardless of your age, you need to be committed to sucking everything you possibly can out of life. Live it to the fullest, don’t let fear or doubt hold you back, and live in such a way that you can be confident that you will not die with regrets, but knowing you got the most out of your life. “Stress-reaction is one of the most important success factors in your life” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) Points to Keep In Mind

“Life should not be about going from one pleasant experience to another” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) If you wrote your autobiography right now, would anyone want to read it? That is the question you should ask, and the test you should give yourself, to find out if you’re truly leading an adventurous life. Happiness comes, to some extent, from having a life full of experiences, and the more adventurous you are with your life, the more experiences you will have, and the more stories you will be able to tell. So don’t shy away from them! Live your life to the fullest, and embrace the uncertainty and excitement that comes from living an adventurous life. “Don’t love the worst parts of yourself, love the best, and be constantly improving” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) Points to Keep In Mind

“Ask yourself right now if anyone would want to read your biography. If not, you need more adventure” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) The sense of adventure seems to have gone out of the world. Too many people are spending all of their efforts in creating the most comfortable, pleasant life possible, when in reality comfort doesn’t bring you nearly the kind of happiness and fulfillment that adventure does. So ask yourself: If you wrote your autobiography today, would anyone besides your family really want to read it? If people were honest, the answer would be no for most people in the world, and this is simply because they are not prioritizing adventure high enough in their life. So prioritize adventure! Say yes to as many experiences as you possibly can, and live your life to the fullest. Come back with stories worth telling, and at the end of it all, a life worth reading about. “Life should be something that you want to get everything you can possibly get out of it” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) Points to Keep In Mind

“Spend 70% of your time on stuff that works now” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) The way you spend your time is one of the most important decisions you will make in your life. Time is the only thing that you can never get more of, making it your most valuable commodity. Many people neglect focusing on the things that they know will work, and instead spend all of their time on crazy ideas that may or may not pan out. While it is a good idea to give a certain amount of your time to these crazy ideas, as incredible things can potentially come out of them, but are not especially likely. This way, with your time allocation at these percentages, you can be confident that you are focusing enough on the things that you know will work, but also have the opportunity to take the great strides forward that crazy ideas can bring you. “Focus on what you KNOW will work ahead of all else” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) Points to Keep In Mind

It probably does not make sense for marijuana to be criminalized to the extent it is, as compared with alcohol(click to tweet)
Something that is important to keep in mind about marijuana is that, because it has been illegal for so long, we do not have good quality controls in place, nor even especially good ways for measuring the THC levels, etc. So while many argue that it is less harmful than alcohol, these other aspects on the whole contribute to the danger of the substance overall. Alcohol has been carefully studied and graded, so that we know how much we can have. Not so with marijuana, making it dangerous(click to tweet) Points to Keep In Mind

“Practical intelligence is the most important kind of intelligence” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) The skill of the making good decisions is one of the most important skills to master in your life. There are several ways to go about it, but one of the best strategies is to look at the different courses, and ask which way has the most potential for regret, and then take the other one. Regrets are one of the worst things you can have, so if you live you life with an eye towards always looking for the way to have the least of them as you get older, you will be happy with your decisions as you go. “Use the idea of regret minimization to make decisions: Go the way that will leave you with less regrets” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) Points to Keep In Mind

“The biggest fear you should have in life is having regrets at the end of it” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) There is a serious lack of perspective in much of the world today. When it comes to the things people are worried about, what they stress over, what keeps them up at night, and how much “risk” they think they can take, there is often a profound lack of perspective. Today’s episode is a short reminder that most people in 1st world countries have it extremely well, and that what you should fear far more than the risk of trying something and failing, is the risk of not trying something and having regrets at the end of your life. So live your life with a regret-minimizing attitude toward your decisions. Use the idea of getting to the end of your life with as few regrets as possible as your guiding light when it comes to making decisions, and just remember that even if you feel like you’re taking a risk, if you look at the potential downside, it’s probably pretty great compared with most people in world and throughout history. “Wherever you are in life, be able to rewire your mind to proper thinking and perspective on reality” - Tai Lopez(click to tweet) Points to Keep In Mind

If you are struggling with goals, procrastination, or motivation just work on one thing: Imagination.(click to tweet) One of the biggest complaints people have is the ability to find motivation. It’s so easy to procrastinate and just wish things would happen for you. The trick to overcoming procrastination is all in your mind. You need to use your imagination. Create a vision of where you want to be, and then make a plan and start taking steps toward where you see yourself. A good rule is the 50/50 rule. Spend 50% of your day imagining, and the other 50% of your day doing. It’s important to get out there and really take action. If you just dream, it’ll never come into fruition. If you don’t dream you’ll never get the motivation. It’s a simple cycle to get started, and if you really imagine it happening you’ll become so excited you can’t stop yourself from making it happen. On this episode of the Tai Lopez show, Tai breaks down the steps you need to get things moving and how to tell if a dream is really achievable or if you are just experiencing the American Idol Syndrome. The wise general conserves his troops and deploys them at the strategic moment.(click to tweet) The biggest mistake people make when they decide to start a business is that they start too big. They invest everything they have in one idea, and hope everything goes well. This is setting you up for failure. If you look at the best investors, they spread themselves out. They invest in many little projects and whatever starts to take off is where they put their concentration. You don’t have to have a lot of money to start investing in your own business. In fact, you can start any business for under a hundred dollars but testing the waters and slowly growing into something bigger. On the off chance that you do have a lot of money to invest in something, don’t throw it all at starting a project. Take a good chunk of money and use it to educate yourself. In order to truly be successful you have to understand every part of the industry you are going into. Without the knowledge to succeed, you can’t succeed. On this episode of The Tai Lopez Show, Tai sits down with Zach and Rome to discuss various ways you can begin an entrepreneur endeavor. They also discuss current politics, sports, and dive into Zach’s love life. “If people are high in narcissism they feel entitled to a larger slice of the pie.” - Dr. David Buss(click to tweet) If you haven’t heard of it before, there’s something called the dark triad. It’s a test that analyzes your exploitative personality traits: Narcissism, Psychopathy, and Machiavellianism. These traits seems to be on the rise in today’s society. In fact Tai had models who auditioned for his clothing line take the test, and had his staff not call back anyone who scored more than a 60%. As a result they had to turn away 70% of the models, which is much higher than normal. On this episode of The Tai Lopez, Tai and Dr. David Buss dive into what is making these exploitative traits increase. Download this episode today to see what is contributing to this epidemic. “In large cities, people can escape the reputational consequences of treating others poorly, which contributes to the rise of some poor character traits” - Dr. David Buss(click to tweet) Today I’m interviewing one of the authors I quote the most, Dr. David Buss. Dr. Buss, wrote the book “Evolutionary Psychology.” Were talking about some of the taboo subjects that people get uncomfortable to talk about: How do you define “mate-worthiness?” While the topic makes people uncomfortable, it is a very important one to get into. What are the factors of “mate-worthiness?” Can you affect them, to make yourself a better candidate? What do different people look for? We’re getting into all of these questions and more, plus debuting “Tai’s Diary,” where I talk about my life at the moment, what I’m up to, and the thoughts on my mind right now.
