“The future of diets is in-depth customization toward specific gene makeups” - Ben Greenfield

(click to tweet)

Points to Keep In Mind

  • The future of diets is in-depth customization toward specific gene makeups
  • Veganism is a great diet to clean you up, if you have been eating a lot of less clean foods
  • While veganism can be a good thing for a short amount of time, to clean out your system, a lot of people have difficulties with the diet in the long run
  • When you are stuck on one diet for a long time, your chances of missing certain important nutrients goes up
  • Look at dieting as something that you rotate, moving through different types, to not only find what works best for you, but also to make sure you are developing any deficiencies by following one diet for too long
  • Listen to your body very carefully, to discover what works best for you in a diet
  • Bad animals sources are worse for you than bad vegan sources
  • The secret to fat loss is to:
    • Not have your blood sugar levels rise throughout the day
    • Have no period of time during the day when those blood sugar levels spike
  • Accomplish the above by:
    • Consuming the equivalent of 2 teaspoons of ceylon cinnamon per day
    • Consuming bitter melon extract
  • Any supplement that claims to be for fat loss should accomplish that not by jacking up your central nervous system, but by instead controlling your blood sugar levels
  • The best beginner diet is one you can stick with
  • Cut out any oil that has been oxidized, heated, or pressurized
  • Try to find and eat local foods whenever possible

If you are struggling with goals, procrastination, or motivation just work on one thing: Imagination.

(click to tweet)

One of the biggest complaints people have is the ability to find motivation. It’s so easy to procrastinate and just wish things would happen for you. The trick to overcoming procrastination is all in your mind.

You need to use your imagination. Create a vision of where you want to be, and then make a plan and start taking steps toward where you see yourself. A good rule is the 50/50 rule. Spend 50% of your day imagining, and the other 50% of your day doing.

It’s important to get out there and really take action. If you just dream, it’ll never come into fruition. If you don’t dream you’ll never get the motivation. It’s a simple cycle to get started, and if you really imagine it happening you’ll become so excited you can’t stop yourself from making it happen.

On this episode of the Tai Lopez show, Tai breaks down the steps you need to get things moving and how to tell if a dream is really achievable or if you are just experiencing the American Idol Syndrome.

Download this episode now to see how you can get a jump start on making your dreams a reality.

When you start imagining you must start doing at the same time.

The Cliff Notes:

  • Everyone struggles with procrastination and lacking goals.
  • Procrastination is solved by having a vision of the future.
  • Just because you imagine it doesn’t mean you can do it.
  • 30% of people imagine too much.
  • When you start imagining you must start doing at the same time.
  • Tai spends half the day imagining, and the other half doing it.
  • You have to know your field to know if you can really succeed.
  • Pro athletes have to be born a certain way.
  • Most things you do in life, it doesn’t matter how you are born to be successful.

Almost any business can make a million bucks. Anybody can do it.

The biggest mistake people make when they decide to start a business is that they start too big. They invest everything they have in one idea, and hope everything goes well.

This is setting you up for failure.

If you look at the best investors, they spread themselves out. They invest in many little projects and whatever starts to take off is where they put their concentration.

You don’t have to have a lot of money to start investing in your own business. In fact, you can start any business for under a hundred dollars but testing the waters and slowly growing into something bigger.

On the off chance that you do have a lot of money to invest in something, don’t throw it all at starting a project. Take a good chunk of money and use it to educate yourself. In order to truly be successful you have to understand every part of the industry you are going into.

Without the knowledge to succeed, you can’t succeed.

On this episode of The Tai Lopez Show, Tai sits down with Zach and Rome to discuss various ways you can begin an entrepreneur endeavor. They also discuss current politics, sports, and dive into Zach’s love life.

Download this episode today if you want to learn how you can start a business on a shoestring budget and how you can start being your own boss instantly.

You can get anything you want, you just can’t get it instantly... But you can build up to it.

  • Wherever there is ignorance, there is more crime.
  • We need to fix our hospitals.

  • No other country has as much college debt as the US.

  • It’s very difficult to know if a large disrupter is overall a good or bad thing while it is happening
  • Storytelling is probably the most effective aspect of good marketing

  • A lot of times, it’s better to stay with your steady paycheck until the right time, when it really makes sense, to jump into entrepreneurship
  • Poor time management is one of the main reasons that people are unsuccessful
  • If you surround yourself with too many distractions, you will eventually fall for the temptation to be distracted
  • Mastery requires repetition

“If people are high in narcissism they feel entitled to a larger slice of the pie.” - Dr. David Buss

(click to tweet)

If you haven’t heard of it before, there’s something called the dark triad. It’s a test that analyzes your exploitative personality traits: Narcissism, Psychopathy, and Machiavellianism. These traits seems to be on the rise in today’s society.

In fact Tai had models who auditioned for his clothing line take the test, and had his staff not call back anyone who scored more than a 60%. As a result they had to turn away 70% of the models, which is much higher than normal.

On this episode of The Tai Lopez, Tai and Dr. David Buss dive into what is making these exploitative traits increase. Download this episode today to see what is contributing to this epidemic.

In the year 1900 90% of society lived in rural or small villages. Today it’s switched.

(click to tweet)

The Cliff Notes:

  • The dark triad has increased in recent years.
  • Narcissism is not being able to see other people’s side and feeling entitled.
  • Machiavellianism is being two faced.
  • Psychopathy is a lack of empathy.
  • In 1900 most people lived in small societies, now most people live in big cities.
  • In cities people can escape consequences.
  • Social media is bringing light to the narcissism today.
  • People in the midwest are less likely to be narcissistic.

“In large cities, people can escape the reputational consequences of treating others poorly, which contributes to the rise of some poor character traits” - Dr. David Buss

(click to tweet)

Today I’m interviewing one of the authors I quote the most, Dr. David Buss. Dr. Buss, wrote the book “Evolutionary Psychology.” Were talking about some of the taboo subjects that people get uncomfortable to talk about: How do you define “mate-worthiness?”

While the topic makes people uncomfortable, it is a very important one to get into. What are the factors of “mate-worthiness?” Can you affect them, to make yourself a better candidate? What do different people look for?

We’re getting into all of these questions and more, plus debuting “Tai’s Diary,” where I talk about my life at the moment, what I’m up to, and the thoughts on my mind right now. Enjoy!

“For a long-term relationship to work, you need to prioritize intelligence levels” - Dr. David Buss

(click to tweet)

Points to Keep In Mind

  • We have evolved a few different strategies toward mating, depending on our needs
  • People tend to select one specific mating strategy, depending on aspects about them such as religion, how they were raised, what is important to them, etc
  • When there is a surplus of women, the mating strategy tends to shift away from monogamy. When there is a surplus of men, the opposite is the case
  • A huge percentage of all violence is related to mating
  • The amount of choice in the world today is what makes decisions difficult
  • Most people have to make compromises in exactly everything you ideally want in a mate
  • The modern world has created situations that actually favor some psychopathic behavior, which could be some of the cause of the rise of it today
  • In large cities, people can escape the reputational consequences of treating others poorly, which contributes to the rise of some poor character traits
  • For a long-term relationship to work, you need to prioritize intelligence levels
  • You need to have good insight into your own mate-value, so that you know who and where you may need to compromise
  • Personal hygiene is one of the easiest ways to increase your own level of mate-worthiness
  • Don’t underestimate the value of going to the gym in order to achieve greater mate-worthiness
