“People think entrepreneurs are risk-takers, but they’re actually the exact opposite.” - Anik Singal

There’s no worse place than rock bottom.

By definition, it’s the lowest point in your life. You lie on the floor of your office completely hopeless. But also by definition, rock bottom means that it will never get worse. There’s only one way to go from rock bottom, and that is up.

On today’s episode of The Tai Lopez Show, we are joined by Anik Singal, founder of e-learning company Lurn. Anik’s insights spread across many different domains of business: from picking yourself up out of rock bottom to making deals in the boardroom. In this interview, we hear Anik’s story about hitting rock bottom and how we must use honesty to rise from failure.

“If you go to entrepreneur conferences and walk into a room with 500 entrepreneurs, you are now in a room of 500 insane people.” - Tai Lopez

The nature-nurture debate misses the point.

Discussing how much of who we are is genetic makeup vs. environmentally influenced is an unproductive conversation. It’s a high amount in both; we are raised by our parents, the same DNA that makes us up. What we need to be talking about is how to shift the hardwiring that comes from this upbringing.

On today’s episode of The Tai Lopez Show, we are discussing the value of personality tests in discovering where to push efforts for self-improvement. Unfortunately or fortunately, most of who we are comes from our parents, and in this conversation we talk about what to do with that reality. Blood is thicker than water, but it’s not thicker than common sense.

Hearing others’ stories helps us reframe our own.

When you recognize the fibers of another person’s narrative to be parallel to your own, you rack focus for a second. The typical hamster wheels of thought stop. And when you come back to your own narrative, you have a new, healthier, and more nuanced perspective on that part of the story.

On today’s episode of The Tai Lopez Show, we are taking a moment to recap some of this week’s highlights. From Jocko Willink giving the insider scoop on Navy SEAL training to Daymond John breaking down productivity, the range of content and perspective will allow us to rack focus on our own story. “Humans are less happy now. For many reasons, but it’s really because life has become too complex. And what’s complex is the messaging.” - Tai Lopez

(click to tweet)

You can’t make money without understanding people.

And the biggest part of understanding people is knowing who are your true allies. Without this ability to decipher, you will start businesses with enemies and get slighted every step of the way. With this skill, you will create productive work environments that foster honest collaboration.

From the media feeding you misleading headlines to your best friends saying they “love you,” convoluted messaging is everywhere. Developing a radar to distill the truth from the nonsense can be what takes you to new heights. Tune in right now to make a step in that direction.
